Becoming a Volunteer Peer Mentor

POP provides peer mentor opportunities. We encourage people to share their lived experience of criminal justice and housing services, to help others overcome life’s challenges. Your involvement gives you the opportunity to:

  • Use your voice and be valued
  • Develop self-worth and confidence
  • Share your own experiences
  • Develop new skills and interests
  • Access mutual aid services
  • Ensure that the service is up to date, relevant and addresses local needs
  • Address the stigma around issues that affect those with complex needs and chaotic lifestyles
  • Improve access to treatment and recovery services
