Meet the Team
Rondine Molinaro
Rondine joined Kaleidoscope in 2005, after arriving in the UK from East Africa. Rondine has thrown herself into community drug and alcohol projects here, and began providing executive, commercial and operational leadership for our Birchwood Detox unit based in The Wirral in 2017. Rondine is now Head of Operations for our largest project, Gwent Drug and Alcohol Service. Rondine’s personal experience of addiction is the driver of her advocacy for service user rights, and she is the organisational lead for service user involvement and co-production. She has an ILM level 5 in leadership and management. She has a Level 7 Diploma qualification in Fundraising, Volunteer Management and Communication.
Elwyn Thomas – Co-Production Lead
Elwyn is an influential figure in the field of substance use treatment and criminology, serving as the Co-Production lead for Kaleidoscope. Working in this environment over the last decade, after spending time as a volunteer he has gained a wealth of knowledge and skills working within a clinical team, criminal justice prescribing and experience with Tier 4 detox. He led on the development and delivery of the National P2P Naloxone initiative and the National Peer-Led Buvidal Review. Elwyn is involved in numerous advisory groups for Welsh Government Funded Projects. He is regularly requested as a speaker on major media platforms and sits on the Cross-Party Group for Substance Use at the Senedd. He is renowned for his unwavering commitment to creating a positive impact on individuals and communities grappling with problematic substance use issues.
Cullan Mais – Co-Production Facilitator C&V
Cullan, struggled with severe OCD since childhood, and spent his twenties trapped in the cycle of addiction and offending. Cullan was part of Kaleidoscope’s clinical treatment pilot for Buvidal. A long-acting alternative to methadone, patients receive a monthly injection that frees them from having to attend treatment centres and pharmacies daily, creating more time to focus on improving other areas of their lives. Cullan started Cardiff’s first weekly podcast, The Central Club, alongside two childhood friends. He hopes it will give people strength to overcome mental health challenges, addiction and destructive cycles to live a better life. Cullan’s story has been shared internationally in the Epoch Times and he’s made appearances on ITV. Wales’ First Minister has even joined Cullan as a podcast guest.
Julia Peart-Watson – Co-Production Facilitator Powys
Julia is the Co Production Lead for Powys within Kaleidoscope. Last year she worked with Cyfle Cymru Kaleidoscope Project supporting and motivating people, back into life and seeing options for their future. Over the years, she has worked in various countries including the US, Netherlands and Germany- working within Export, Customer Service, Event Management and Business Administration. Julia has allowed her passion to support others within their recovery journeys lead the work that she currently does as Co Production Lead, helping the voices of those who provide services and use services to be heard to improve the personalised experience and support of everyone is just one of the perks her position brings. Focusing on understanding the needs of all involved, helps provide something that will and can benefit all of us better.
Victoria Williams – Co-Production Administrator
Victoria joined our team in May 2024, bringing with her valuable experience from her previous role as a Primary School Teacher. Since joining, she has focused on promoting Co-Production and supporting the outstanding work being done at Kaleidoscope. Victoria works closely with team members, service providers, and people with lived experience to ensure effective communication and highlight key initiatives. She has made it a priority to build strong relationships across the organization, helping to connect the right messages with the right people. Victoria also provides a platform for service users to share their experiences, ensuring their voices are heard and used to drive improvements in our services. Her collaborative approach is helping to shape a more inclusive and responsive service environment.
